why now is the time for solar battery
- New government rebates from 1 July 2025 can reduce your battery costs by up to $7,875 on average
- You can combine both State and Federal rebates — if eligible, most homes receive $2,500–$3,500 in Federal STC's (Small-scale Technology Certificates) plus:
– Battery rebate up to $7,875 (also part of the STC's program)
– $1,400 VIC solar rebate - Join a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and earn $350/year by sharing stored energy with the grid
- Combined, these incentives can cut your battery payback time to just 4 years
- Our goal is to make your system cash-positive — paying less than your current power bills from the start
how much are the rebates?
As a guide, approximate battery rebates are:
- 10kW : $3,096
- 15kW : $4,640
- 20kW : $6,192
- 30kW : $9,288
- 40kW : $12,384
- 50kW : $15,480
These rebates are set to drop by near 10% on Jan 1st 2026.
Rebates increase with battery size (up to a 50kW system).The standard rebate amount is $344 per usable kWh Batteries vary on the useable power. Eg; 90%, 95% or 100% useable

- Average Savings: Between $3,000 and $5,000 per year on electricity bills.
- Payback Period:
Without rebates: 6–7 years
With rebates: As little as 4 years
